Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels (FBS) is a nonprofit organization that is committed to improving the quality of life for seniors in our community by providing nutritious meals, reducing isolation, and helping connect them with the additional services they need to age with dignity. With the number of Fort Bend and Waller County residents over the age of 65 continuing to grow, and a greater proportion of those seniors below the poverty level, our services are crucial.
As a direct service organization that operates throughout the year, we rely on the community’s support of both time and funds to help us carry out our mission of serving seniors each day. As such, we are thrilled to announce our 1st Annual More than a Meal Luncheon, set for Thursday June 7, 2018, and graciously hosted by River Pointe Church. At this inaugural luncheon, we will be honoring Fort Bend County Judge Robert “Bob” Hebert and Mrs. Pat Hebert for their service to the county, who will also speak to the need for FBS’ programs throughout our community.
By choosing to help FBS, your sponsorship will help support our comprehensive services and programs, including Meals on Wheels, congregate meals, transportation, case management, health screenings, information and referral services, recreation and more. Each of these programs and services enables area seniors to remain in their homes and continue to be an integral part of the community for as long possible.
