Are you ready to make a difference in your community? La Cocina is honored to announce the 18th Annual Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser presented by HEB is returning on May 3, 2025! There are many different levels of sponsorships and VIP tables, get yours today before the event sells out! You will enjoy delicious food, a live DJ, ice cold drinks, a live auction, pay for your pull for a chance to win a Louis Vuitton and a bucket raffle, but most importantly, fun with friends old and new, all for a great cause

In 2024, Fort Bend Seniors served 427,800 meals to 2,330 local area seniors through the Meals on Wheels program and at 8 senior centers, all at no charge! Services are based on need, not income and there is no waitlist! The number of seniors needing help in our community is increasing every day. By the year 2034, the number of seniors will exceed the number of children for the first time in our nation's history!

We are counting on you to help make this Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser a great success. Because of the generosity of people like you, senior adults in our community will be assured of receiving a hot, nutritious meal...Together, we CAN deliver

About Us

FORT BEND SENIORS MEALS ON WHEELS

For over 50 years, Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels has served eligible senior citizens age 60 and over living in Fort Bend and Waller Counties. We are one of Fort Bend's oldest nonprofits and the only organization in either county to deliver meals at no cost to seniors. Our services and programs enable local area seniors to remain independent and in their homes for as long as possible and programs are offered free of charge based on need, regardless of income.

We provide daily and weekly hot meal deliveries to homebound seniors throughout Fort Bend and Waller Counties through a network of staff and volunteer drivers. For more active seniors, we provide hot meals and daily recreational activities at 7 senior activity centers throughout both counties.

Fort Bend County has a large and growing population of citizens aged 60 years and older. As a nation, by 2034, the number of seniors will outnumber children for the first time in our history.
